SQUEEEEE - July is release month for Arizona Homecoming

I'm Pamela Tracy, and I like to celebrate!

What I’m celebrating first is the release of Arizona Homecoming from Love Inspired Romance, a Harlequin Love Inspired <pssst, I write for them, too> novel.

As a matter of fact, I’ve already received three fan emails.  One let me know about a terrible missspelling.  ARG.  I’m mad at myself.  (did you see the misspelling?)  In Homecoming, I actually wrote evacuative cooler instead of evaporative cooler.

It’s the third in the series, and I really enjoyed writing it.  What I liked best about the Rancher’s Daughters - as this mini series was called - is the Native American flavor as well as the southwestern slant.  In these books, besides the romance - you gotta have the romance - you’ll get to explore the Superstition mountains, pan for gold, discover details about Kachina dolls and looms.  And, then, of course, there’s the romance.

By the way, if you’ve ever thought to yourself “I really need to read this Pamela Tracy person...,” the book is half price right now through July 15th on the Harlequin site.  Here’s the coupon code:  JULRD10

Feel free to order one today.

The first in the series was Finally a Hero. I can celebrate because today, yes, just three minutes ago, I went to Amazon and found my last’s years book released to a different country and with a whole different cover.  That’s a surprise.

The second in series is Second Chance Hearts.  I can celebrate it because I loved doing the research for it.  I drove, taking my ten-year-old son and one of his friends, to Apache Junction, Arizona (which is the town I set the books in, although I renamed it Apache Creek) and we visited a mining store.  The guy at the desk wasn’t too impressed with my romance novelist status.  I didn’t get to hear “You’re Pamela Tracy.  The Pamela Tracy.”  Not like “You’re Joan Wilder.  The Joan Wilder.”  (Catherine Lanigan, you're my heroRomancing the Stone fans will get the comparison.  If you haven’t seen Romancing the Stone, it’s worth every moment.

Never fear, I just finished book one of a three book series for Heartwarming.  I've named it Oscar's Heart.

By the way, where do you think my different country book has been published.  My friends have been waffling between Germany and South Africa.

Cool beans!  Completely different cover.
But, eh, my name looks most awesome.

  2. Congrats on your new and upcoming releases. A reader should alert authors when there are mistakes in their books? I didn't know that. I see errors all the time in books but just chuck it up to nobody's perfect and move on.
As for where the country is located for your new cover, I honestly have no idea. ) :

  4. Pam! Party down, Woman! Lots to celebrate. Blame the mistake on your editor. (Ha! I know it isn't fair to expect them to know everything, either.) I have a friend who winters in Apache Junction. I'll have to tell her you were there. Sounds like good stuff is blooming all around you. Is that a paper book? I used to go to the page that tells us where it's printed to try to figure out what language a reprint was. Not sure what to do, if it's an ebbok. Unless you put the title in Google and see what you get?? Have a great Monday!

  5. Congratulations, Pam! You've got a lot of exciting and interesting things going on. I think your foreign edition is from South Africa or Holland, but I can't read Dutch or Afrikaans, so I'm not sure. I remember the days when Apache Junction was nothing but a wide spot in the road where we stopped for gas on the way into Phoenix. It's very different now. Have a great day and week!

  7. "You are THE Pamela Tracy? I read your books. I read all your books!" And this Love Inspired one looks and sounds fantastic. (Thanks for the lovely compliment!)
I adore Apache Junction and have friends who live up there. I lived in Scottsdale for 8 years and was just back there in February for my husband's memorial. I have the BEST friends in Arizona, so your story will truly delight them. I'll spread the good word for you.
    See you at RWA!!!
Oh, and I'm voting for South Africa. LOVE THAT COVER!!!!

  8. Oh Pam! I'm jumping for joy over your book! I loved the first one, "Finally a Hero." Somehow I missed the second one. I shall remedy that right now. And thanks for the code to get the next one too. Maybe I'm just biased, but I love books in Arizona. If you ever feel like researching the Tombstone area or Cochise Stronghold, come hang out with me a while. :)
